This year, giving away the item Art Prize was anything but an easy task for the jurors.
More than 60 candidates submitted their high-quality artworks in various drawing techniques.
This national art event attracted more than 300 visitors to the August-Nagel-Straße in Ulm, Germany, where the item Art Prize 2009 was handed out.
The jury awarded Mr. Gang Shi (work No. 22) with the first prize for his abstract work entitled "Kompakte Linear Einheiten" (compact linear units).
The second prize of the evening was granted by the visitors of the item vernissage and rewarded Mrs. Daniela Andreatte (work No. 64) with the title "Neue Triebe" (new drives). The item employees' odds-on favourite was number 23 "Phasensprung" (phase shift) by Mr. Sascha Kayser.
The item Art Prize is an award destined to encourage and promote artists who are at beginning of their carrier.
You will soon find more information on the website www.item-kunst.de (in German).
