The item Stairway/Platform System – customised industrial steps
Design industrial steps and machine access steps to suit your exact requirements
The item Stairway/Platform System can be used to build industrial stairways and machine steps in four different pitches and includes profiles in variable lengths. You can create your customised industrial steps to suit the space available, the working height required and the weight it needs to support. Thanks to the modular concept, you can easily adapt and expand your solution at any time. The resulting machine steps and industrial stairways take up very little space, but enable workers to reach all areas with ease.

Industrial steps with platform based on the item building kit principle
With the item Stairway/Platform System, you can build industrial steps, machine access steps and industrial work platforms, either as separate constructions or as integral parts of your machine base. This is made possible by the modular item building kit principle – Frame Profile 8, which is used to build steps, is compatible with the entire item portfolio, thanks to its profile groove. This means you can build full industrial work platforms with integrated guards, doors and workstations.

Industrial steps – straightforward and safe
Different conditions call for customised solutions. With the item Stairway/Platform System, you can therefore build machine steps and industrial stairways in four different pitches, including the particularly popular standard stairway (45°) and its more ergonomic variant with a pitch of 38°. For industrial steps that are used particularly frequently or are used when carrying loads, a pitch of 30° is recommended to ease the strain on your staff. When space is tight or a stairway is only used occasionally, the 60° variant of the item stairway is a good solution.

Work and industrial platforms
The item Stairway/Platform System makes it particularly easy to build work platforms and industrial platforms, because stairway landings and work platforms are based on the same components. For example, thanks to their variable length of up to 6000 mm, ridged Step Profiles 8 160 and 8 240 can be used either as steps or as long floor panels in platforms. You can lay Step Profiles side by side to create industrial platforms measuring up to 36 m² in area. The frame and panels fit perfectly flush, while Glide Tape between the profiles reduces noise emissions.

Guard-rails, knee-rails and foot-rails
Stanchions and hand-rails are made with Profiles 8 D40. These profiles have one or two grooves that can be covered over cleanly and safely. Profiles 6 D30 4N are used as knee-rails and Profiles 8 120x16 E as foot-rails. The applicable ISO requirements can therefore be met – or even surpassed – with ease. All fastening tasks can be reliably carried out with just five different profile fasteners. When modifying a construction, you can reuse existing components with ease, so the number of individual parts you need to store is greatly reduced.
Benefits of the item Stairway/Platform System
The Stairway/Platform System offers standard-compliant safety, resource-friendly construction and flexible modification options. Use the item building kit principle to create machine access steps, industrial stairways and work platforms that suit your precise requirements.
