Modular dimension
Each item product line is based primarily on square profiles with an external dimension of 20, 30, 40, 50 or 60 mm. Continuous grooves run along all four sides.

Fast assembly and maximum flexibility: Whether you call them aluminium or aluminum profiles, you can use item construction profiles made from this versatile metal to design robust factory equipment and entire systems for any production application in no time at all.
Screws instead of welding: Besides speeding up the process of designing robust factory equipment, aluminium profiles from item also make it possible to modify this equipment easily and flexibly later on. Over 4500 mutually compatible components and item profiles from various product lines create modular solutions for all kinds of processes.
Aluminium construction profiles from item differ in terms of three key geometric features:

Each item product line is based primarily on square profiles with an external dimension of 20, 30, 40, 50 or 60 mm. Continuous grooves run along all four sides.

The size and load-carrying capacity of the groove increase in line with the modular dimension. Most profile connections are anchored in the groove. The groove can also hold panel elements in place.

The core bore offers a stable fastening point at the end faces of the aluminium profiles. This bore is a sound basis that can have a thread tapped directly into it.
The item portfolio offers you a wide range of construction profiles made of aluminium and other materials, meaning you will find the perfect profile for any application. You can choose between particularly lightweight aluminium profiles and the relevant standard variant. Special profiles made from different materials are also available for specific requirements.

In some product lines, our aluminium profiles are available in a range of variants. All lines in the item Building Kit System include the “standard” design. For example, the “standard” variant of the 40x40 Line 8 aluminium profile is suitable for high loads and universal use. Amongst other things, you can build supporting structures for mechanical and factory equipment engineering applications, materials handling technology and heavy-duty work benches.
Lines 6, 8 and 12 also offer a “light” variant, which features a lightweight design that doesn’t compromise on stability, while the “economy (E)” variant (Lines 6, 8 and 10) is a material-optimised solution. Both these variants are suitable for lightweight frames and covers, as well as mobile solutions such as transport trolleys.
item construction profiles are split into specific product lines that are geared towards different requirements. As a result, you are sure to find the perfect profiles for any challenge. Their end-to-end compatibility makes it easy to combine profiles from different lines.

The names of our profiles follow the same logic across the board – for rapid guidance and reliable selection.

Line St 8 profiles from item combine the versatility of the item Building Kit System with the material properties of stainless steel.
WFC profiles are made of an innovative, sustainable material with up to 75 percent wood fibres. This impressive material is manufactured by NOVO-TECH in line with the cradle-to-cradle principle.
Black KH profiles, with a wood fibre content of 70 percent, have similar properties and can be used for the same purposes.

One modular system, infinite possibilities – with item products, you can design customised solutions for all kinds of applications. From ergonomic work benches to robot peripherals, discover what is possible.
